What's the hardest thing about renovating homes?

Ask 3 different builders you'll more than likely get 3 different answers. One is definitely getting the materials you need on time. Theres been a countless number of times where we have been ready to move to the next phase or simply next step on a project and simply couldn't because the materials didn't ship on time, they sent the wrong materials or sent horrible materials (i.e. lumber). In conjunction with that is running out of needed materials as an oversight or under-planning. There could be other issues as well, subcontractors not showing or even having to find replacement subcontractors, disbursement of funding to fund the project in moving forward, weather, vandalism...I could go on. Making everything come together in a timely manner is an art form and is undervalued in my opinion. Nonetheless overcoming all the obstacles makes for a beautiful end product that everybody that worked on the project enjoys as well as the investors/ home owner.
